A cloud workshop is a 1-day event that consists of an overview of the technology, a deep dive whiteboard design session and Hands-on lab where participants will a subset of the solution. In this workshop, attendees will be building a PowerApp mobile application for ordering a device. The list of devices displayed in the App will use SharePoint as the central repository for available devices to order. The student will also build offline capabilities into the app. On the backend, Flow and the Common Data Service (CDS) will be leveraged to build an approval workflow into the app. This will demonstrate how approvals can be performed both within Outlook as well as through the Flow mobile app. The integration with CDS will provide the student with the knowledge on creating entities within CDS so it could later be integrated with other cloud services that can also communicate with CDS. Once completed with the App in a Day the student will be familiar with both architecting and building a solution leveraging PowerApps, SharePoint Online, Flow and the Common Data Service.
