    This course covers running a PostgreSQL database on Azure using Azure’s managed PostgreSQL database service. We start off by covering the PostgreSQL database and the Azure portal. We then move on to creating a PostgreSQL database in Azure using the portal, command line interface (CLI), and ARM templates.

    This course presents an overview of the system management and configuration tool Puppet, from methods, techniques, capabilities to implementation.  Emphasis is on in learning, writing, and applying resource definitions, the key part of Puppet that allows a system administrator or a software developer to define a desired system state.

  • Running Containers on Azure

    In this course, we will cover Microsoft Azure’s managed service offerings for container technologies. We’ll start by covering Azure Container Registry and compare it to other container registry platforms. Then, we’ll cover Azure Container Instances and discuss why and when to use Azure Container Instances. We’ll also cover how to persist data when running containers in Azure. Then, we’ll wrap up the module covering Azure Kubernetes Service and discuss the advantages that come along with a managed Kubernetes service.

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Exam

    This course prepares you to pass the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Exam. The course covers the knowledge requirements for the exam as defined by the exam blueprint. It also has hands on lab and real-life examples to help you understand the features and how to put them to use.
    The course starts with an introduction to the certification and the Amazon AWS Cloud offering, it will then delve into the details of Identity and access management, S3, EC2, VPC and Database. Then it will cover DNS using Route53, CloudFront as CDN and it will then provide an overview on the AWS available services as they relate to the exam. After which a real life project to build a true fault tolerant infrastructure will be provided and will end by going through the needed whitepapers as provided by AWS and will finish the course with an Exam Prep section.

  • Learning Path: Apache Spark Programming with Azure Databricks

    In this learning path, you will learn how to manage and deploy Azure Databricks as well as explore the Spark Internals and Architecture.  he course will start with an introduction to Azure Databricks and then move on to an introduction to Scala. Using the Scala programming language, you will be introduced to the core functionalities and use cases of Apache Spark including Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, MLlib, and GraphFrames.

    This course is designed to help students with a fundamental understanding programming in Microsoft .Net framework with C#. Students will cover all the essential topics they will need to develop basic applications.

  • Introduction to Terraform

    This course is an introduction to Terraform concepts and configurations and demonstrates launching, changing and destroying resources on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.  The course starts with an understanding of what Terraform is and why it’s an important tool for deploying reliable, repeatable cloud architectures and how to think about infrastructure as code.  We will highlight the major concepts of terraform, the structure components of a Terraform configuration file and basic Terraform usage from the command-line.  We will finish by walking through an example configuration and launching, changing and destroying resources on Microsoft Azure.

  • Introduction to Automation with Chef

    This course covers automating infrastructure with Chef, starting with an introduction as to why Chef is used in the enterprise and then moving in into the basic components of Chef.  After discussing the foundations of Chef, we’ll demonstrate automating a multi-tier deployment within both Azure and AWS clouds.
