Day 1: An overview of the Cloud Infrastructure as a Service Market
An overview of the different cloud providers by providing insight into overall strategy and capabilities at a global level. This session will also discuss some of the strengths and weaknesses of each provider so that students will know how to better position Azure in strategic sales conversations.
Azure Infrastructure as a Service for Sellers In this session students will learn about core capabilities and features of Azure from the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) perspective and then move on to key scenarios that Azure can be used for.
Scenarios will include:
•Virtual Machines, Networking and Storage
•Development and Test
Opportunity Identification Workshop
In this workshop students will be split up into teams and given a customer information package that has relevant information about an account and key contacts. The teams will be challenged with identifying the opportunities and then identifying a priority based approach for engaging with the correct stake holders.
Day 2: Case Study Based Solution Selling
In the solution based selling model, students will be organized into an even number of teams and challenged with a customer problem complete with business and technical objections. The individual teams will be tasked with designing a solution and overcoming objections from the customers. After the solution is designed the teams will present their solutions to the other teams. The goal is to challenge the presenting team based on the other team’s objections to help them work through developing their solution.
Training Scenario: Migration to the Cloud
In this scenario, your team will be tasked with building a proposal for a solution that will address the need for migrating an enterprise workload to the cloud. This scenario will focus on the services and features needed for migrating infrastructure to Azure. This will include migration of data, configuring for availability, connectivity, securing the migrated workload, as well as identifying key technical and business stakeholders along and overcoming several business and technical objections.
Training Scenario: Hybrid Identity
In this scenario, your team will be tasked with building a proposal for a solution that will provide a single-sign for users in an enterprise environment as well as providing a secure solution for protecting 3rd party SaaS applications. The scenario will cover identifying key technical and business stakeholders along with identifying the components for a potential solution, as well as overcoming several business and technical objections.
Training Scenario: Storage & Business Continuity
In this scenario, your team will be tasked with building a proposal for a solution that will address a scenario focused on storage and business continuity. This scenario will focus on the services and features needed to design a disaster recovery solution using Microsoft Azure as a failover site, optimize backup and hybrid storage, as well as identifying key technical and business stakeholders and overcoming several business and technical objections.
