Azure Storage for Developers
6 h 41 m
This course provides an in-depth view of the Azure Storage Service for Developers. Azure Storage is a highly scalable PaaS service that offers capabilities for blob, tables, queues, and file based storage. This class will teach you the introductory concepts for each service as well as managing Azure Storage at a deeper level using 3rd party tools as well as Azure PowerShell and also how to use the Azure Storage SDK to design .NET applications using Azure Storage. Architectural concepts of the service are explored as are service limits and design guidelines.
- Understand how to design, deploy and develop Azure Storage solutions.
In this module you will learn the basics of the Azure Storage Service, including an overview of blobs, tables, queue, and files. This module will also discuss redundancy in the storage service as well as scalability targets and Premium storage.
In this module you will learn how to use common tools such as Cerebrata’s Azure Management Studio, Visual Studio, and other tools such as the Azure Management portal to work with Azure Storage data.
In this module you will learn the core capabilities and properties of blob storage. Topics such as the difference between page and block blobs will be discussed, as well as understanding use cases and manipulating properties on blob data.
In this module you will learn other features of Azure Blob Storage. Topics will include leases, snapshots, and securing blobs using shared access signatures (SAS) and stored access policies.
In this module, you will learn about scalability targets for blob storage, and then discuss about some ways to move blobs around from storage account to storage account, or from on-premises to Azure and vice versa.
In this module you will be introduced to Azure Storage Queues. You will learn use cases, scalability targets and performance, as well as comparing queues to ServiceBus queues.
In this module you will be introduced and learn exactly what tables are and aren’t. We’ll look at the details, and then talk about some use cases. After that the module will discuss guidelines for table design and query design, then finish up talking about security and scalability targets.
In this module you will be introduced to the Azure Files Service. We’ll look at the details, and then talk about some use cases. After that the module will discuss guidelines for design, use cases, security and scalability targets.
In this module you will learn how to use Storage Analytics to monitor usage on your storage services. This module will dig into understanding the different types of telemetry that can be captured.
