Lecture Overview
In this course, you will learn how to implement and manage storage in Microsoft Azure leveraging Cosmos DB and Azure Blob Storage. You will learn about the key benefits of NoSQL and understand how Cosmos DB allows you to build highly scalable and global NoSQL solutions. From there, you will learn how to create and configure Azure storage account and programmatically manage blobs using Azure Storage.

Pre-Requisites
  • Fundamental understanding of software development

Lecture Modules
In this module we will cover how to select the appropriate API for your solution, how to implement partitioning schemes. We will then move into interacting with data using the appropriate SDK and then we will discuss how to set the appropriate consistency level for operations. Finally, we will cover creating Cosmos DB Containers.

In this module we will cover how to  move items in Blob storage between storage accounts or containers. We will then discuss how to set and retrieve properties and metadata and interacting with data using the appropriate SDK. Lastly, we will go over how to implement data archiving and retention.
