Lecture Overview
This course provides an overview on Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility Suite – EMS, a collection of its flagship cloud technologies like Microsoft Intune, which allows organizations to perform end user’s device management and control, Azure Active Directory which is the identity management solution from within Azure and Azure Rights Management Services, providing a solution for data security and management. This content of this course is based on most recent features available within the 3 technical components at the time of writing, mainly focusing on the “real-world” usage scenarios from the author’s own experiences when implementing this solution at customers worldwide in the last 9-12 months.

Lecture Modules
In this module you will learn the basics of Enterprise Mobility Suite, which technical Microsoft cloud components form the base of the suite, how they can be integrated together and how licensing of the suite can be handled.
In this module you will learn the basics of Enterprise Mobility Suite, which technical Microsoft cloud components form the base of the suite, how they can be integrated together and how licensing of the suite can be handled.
In this module you will be introduced to Microsoft Intune, a cloud-based mobile device management solution for SMB, Mid-market and Enterprise customers. What started from a rather limited feature list 5 years ago, has now become a complete device management solution, which is no longer limited to mobile devices only. This module will guide you in the configuration process of the management portal, how to deploy the Microsoft Company Portal App to a full Windows client, how to push Windows Updates, deploy applications from EXE or MSI-packages, how to perform inventory and a lot more.
Continuing on the introduction of Module 3, this module will mainly focus on using Microsoft Intune for managing your mobile devices like Apple iOS-based devices, Android devices and Windows Mobile. Learn how to create configuration and compliance policies, how to deploy mobile apps to these devices and how to perform a device wipe in case of loss of the device. This module will also discuss one of the newest features of Microsoft Intune, conditional access, which allows you to define a set of policies a device should be compliant with before granting access to your Exchange or SharePoint server, whether on-premises or running in Office 365. The module will end by providing you an overview of the differences between the mobile device management features out of Office 365, and where it differs from the full-blown Microsoft Intune.
This module will provide all details on the third component of EMS, i.e. Azure Active Directory Rights Management Services or Azure RMS in short. By using Azure RMS, one can define corporate policies on how to secure and lock-down data access, as well as specifying corporate classification policies which determine what activities can occur with/in a document. RMS provides an easy but very powerful mechanism to make sure data can be exchanged with the outside world in a secure way, by for example allowing read-only access, editor access, prohibit printing access and a lot more. The interesting part is these policies are tight to the document, no matter where it gets stored, on the internal file shares, on a user’s laptop or somewhere in a cloud-based file storage like OneDrive, Dropbox or any other solution.
