Lab Overview
In this lab, you will configure Azure Site Recovery to protect a sample n-tier application by configuring replication from the source Azure region to a target Azure region. Once the initial replication has completed and the application is protected, you will perform a test fail over and validate application functionality. Finally, you will accomplish the cleanup of the test failover resources.
Objectives
  • How to implement Azure-to-Azure protection of virtual machines with Azure Site Recovery
  • How to accomplish a test fail over and validate application functionality
Pre-Requisites
  • How to implement Azure-to-Azure protection of VMs with ASR
  • How to accomplish a test failover and validate application functionality
Exercises
In this exercise, you will login to the Azure portal using the credentials for your lab environment.
In this exercise, you will create a Recovery Services vault ans set up protection for the Cloud Shop application from its source region to another region.
In this exercise, you will accomplish a test failover to the target region. Once the failover is complete you will validate application functionality and then clean up the test failover.
