Introduction to Hybrid Networking
2 h 9 m
In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of hybrid networking in Azure. This includes connecting Azure virtual networks to on-premises systems for communications between on-premises users and systems and Azure services - both private such as virtual machines and public such as Azure SQL and Azure App Services. Students will also learn about the available VPN types and how to configure them.
In this module, students will learn about the available options for connecting Azure virtual networks to on-premises networks, cross-premises, and even Azure-to-Azure networks. Students will also learn about VPN gateways - what they are and how to provision them for use with Azure's virtual networking stack.
In this module, students will be introduced to Azure Site-to-Site VPN and learn to create Site-to-Site connections with PowerShell.
In this module, students will be introduced to Azure Point-to-Site VPN. They will learn use cases for Point-to-Site VPN as well as the requirements to successfully implement the service.
In this module, students will be introduced to Azure ExpressRoute, Microsoft's Azure service that provides secure, private connections to Azure - both public services such as Azure App Service and private services like Azure virtual machines. Students will learn the requirements for the service, configuration options, and how the service can be deployed with PowerShell.
In this module, students will learn about virtual network peering, an Azure capability that allows two virtual networks to be connected seamlessly. Students will also learn the use cases for VNet Peering and how it can be used to unlock the Virtual Data Center.
