Lecture Overview
In this course, you will learn how to manage Windows 10 Devices. Topics will include configuring Windows security, configuring devices with local policies, as well as managing Windows security using mechanisms such as User Account Control, Windows Defender, Firewall, and BitLocker. This course will help you prepare for exam MD 100 Windows 10.

Objectives
  • The purpose of this course is to describe different methods of managing Windows 10 devices, their users and groups, as well as their configuration and data You will also learn how to manage Windows security, including configuring devices by using local policies as well as managing Windows security by leveraging such mechanisms as User Account Control, Windows Defender Firewall, and BitLocker.
Pre-Requisites
  • Familiarity with Windows 10 and non-Windows devices and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 workloads
Lecture Modules
Module 1 covers managing device identity as well as managing local users and groups.
Module 2 takes a look at configuring data access and protection by leveraging file system and share permissions.
Module 3 focuses on configuring devices by using direct registry edits and implementation of local policies. It also deals with the most common local policy troubleshooting scenarios. 
Module 4 deals with security aspects of Windows management, including user account control (UAC), Windows Defender Firewall, and encryption.
