Lecture Overview
In this course, students will learn how to manage groups within Microsoft Teams from both administrator and user perspectives. Module topics include creating and managing teams, modifying team memberships, team permissions, and application policies. Microsoft Teams Administrators are expected to apply and teach these skills within their organization to train users on managing their teams and memberships. Students will practice these tasks as both administrators and users to promote efficient team membership management.

Objectives
  • In this course, students will learn how to manage groups within Microsoft Teams from both administrator and user perspectives. Module topics include creating and managing teams, modifying team memberships, team permissions, and application policies. Microsoft Teams Administrators are expected to apply and teach these skills within their organization to train users on managing their teams and memberships. Pre-Requisites
  • Fundamentals of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with scripting environment such as PowerShell or Bash
Lecture Modules
This module will teach you how to understand the purpose of a Teams app manifest, understand App Studio functionality and features and how to identify the components of an app package for Microsoft Teams. It will also cover how to understand the options for distributing a Teams app, understand the benefits of using deep links as well as understand task modules.
This module will cover how to understand when to use webhooks, understand the limitations of webhooks and understand the differences between incoming and outgoing webhooks.
This module will cover how to understand when to use tabs, the capabilities of personal tabs, the capabilities of channel tabs as well as the requirements for tabs for mobile clients.
In this module the student will learn how to understand when to use messaging extensions, where messaging extensions can be invoked from and search based messaging extensions. It will also cover how to choose the appropriate message extension command type based on requirements, how to understand action-based messaging extensions with adaptive cards and action-based messaging extensions with parameters.
This module will cover how to understand when to use conversational bots,  the scoping options for bots , and when to use a task module from a bot.
