Lab: Getting Started with Log Analytics

Overview
This lab is designed to help you become familiar with several features of Microsoft Azure Log Analytics. You will learn how to setup a Log Analytics workspace and install the agent on several VMs. From there, you will configure data sources from Azure as well as diagnostic data from the VMs and learn the fundamentals of querying data and events using the Log Analytics query language.

Exercises

Exercise 1: Setting up Log Analytics
In this lab, you will configure several data sources to log data to a
Log Analytics workspace. From there, you will use the Log Analytics
query interface to search through some of the data.
Exercise 2: Connect Storage Account and Enable Azure Diagnostics
In this exercise, you will enable Azure diagnostics for your storage
account and connect the storage account to your workspace.
Exercise 3: Searching with Log Analytics
In this exercise, you will follow the steps required to perform a basic
search in the OMS workspace. The lab exercise takes you through the
filter steps in the OMS search area.
