Exercises

Exercise 1: Setup Lab Environment
In this exercise, you will setup the lab environment and connect to the Azure Subscription and LabVM.
Exercise 2: Install Tools and Create ARM Template JSON
In this exercise, you will first install the Azure Resource Manager Tools Extension into Visual Studio Code. You will then create a new ARM Template JSON file using a base template, as shown in this exercise, as the starting point for authoring the ARM Template deployment for this lab.
Exercise 3: Add Web App and SQL Database to ARM Template
In this exercise, you will add some Azure Resources to the ARM Template to automate the deployment of a Web Application using Azure Web Apps, and Azure SQL Database.
Exercise 4: Deploy the ARM Template
In this exercise, you will use the Azure CLI to deploy the ARM Template that was created with this lab into Azure.
